in natural light, this revolver is in amazing condition. One of the best I have seen. The revolver sports its original faded bluing/finish and a couple replaced parts (ejector tube/head and cylinder base pin). From what I have been told, this is a common occurence for these 130 year old plus revolvers. The finish is the same throughout. None of the screws are buggered or marred. A rear dovetail sight (period correct? - one bidder provided information on the sights stating that this was typically observed of Colt Cavalries/SAA that went to Texas) has also been added and could easily be removed. one other revolver has been cited within the 8200 serial number range and that revolver is in the Artillery configuration. This revolver escaped the recall of 1893 and the barrel remains in its original configuration/length.
